FALL/WINTER 2022-23
From the French gardens of André la Notrè, to the new conception of English gardens-already a source of inspiration for the new philosophical, literary, and pictorial movements of the time-so the new Exilia aims to chart a course capable of conveying an innovative and unusual conception of corsetry and lingerie, while remaining true to tradition.
The colors of the collection, which range from shades of green to pink to burgundy, then back to a neutral color, draw inspiration from the palettes of Scottish gardens, beautifully depicted by Frances Jane Hope.
Scotland is also synonymous with the genesis of wool fabrics, which have brought great fame to fashion houses. Exilia was inspired by the iconic TWEED of the most famous French fashion house for its eclectic loungewear line. An exaggerated tweed in size for fluid and comfortable cashmere garments designed for congenial versatility.
The desire of the new Exilia is to make the wardrobe of elegant and classy women multifunctional, but at the same time gritty and dynamic. Bodices, born from a fifty-year tradition of corsetry, become accessories: complementary objects in the total look of a woman who knows how to be feminine, without sacrificing comfort.
Silk and modal, the protagonists of lingerie, are emblematic of what Exilia wants to convey. Garments with multiple uses-even unusual ones-but with unmistakable class, which revisit past trends and interpret the most current fashions with personality.
